RTM method

Glass-reinforced material is placed on the matrix in the form of preliminary prepared patterns. Then a stamping punch is set and forced to the matrix by clamps. Resin is supplied into the mould cavity under the designed pressure. To facilitate the resin pass through the material a vacuum in the mould is used. When resin soaks the whole glass material, the injection is stopped and the laminate remains in the mould up to its through cure. Through cure can be at normal or high temperature.

Materials applied:

  1. RESINS: epoxide; polyether; vinyl ether. The main suppliers of our materials are Finland, England, France.
  2. FIBERS: any (it is preferable to use specially intended glass materials with conducting layer and mechanically connected fibers).
  3. FILLING MATERIAL: any, styrol-proof (except cellular materials).

Main advantages of RTM method:

  1. Laminates with high content of glass and minimum content of air cavities can be produced.
  2. Favorable working and environmental conditions.
  3. No significant emissions of harmful substances.
  4. Reduction of labor costs and time of glass fiber plastic products manufacturing.
  5. One worker can operate several injection devices simultaneously.
  6. The whole surface of the product is glossy, mat, shagreen.
